LEX MERCAT specializes in the protection and management of industrial property rights, with a view to preserving and enhancing the value of its customers intellectual assets. It was founded in 2007 by Corinne Lovatiana RAZAKANTOANINA, a lawyer accredited by the Office Malgache de la Propriété Industrielle (OMAPI) as an Industrial Property Agent.

The firm’s activities include a wide range of services relating to patents, trademarks, trade names and industrial designs and consulting services since 2022, with the official arrival of a new associate, Mihary RAKOTOMANGA as an Industrial Property Engineer.

At the office, we advise our clients on the best protection strategy for their specific needs, and on how to reduce risks. We assist with the drafting and filing of patent and trademark applications, as well as the management of rights clearance procedures. In addition, we may assist in monitoring existing rights, identifying any possible infringements and taking appropriate measures to enforce them. Finally, we may intervene in industrial property disputes, offering our technical and legal expertise to defend our clients’ interests.

The firm’s clients are spread all over the world (mainly in Europe, but increasingly in the Middle East and Asia) and operate in a wide variety of sectors: law firms, pharmaceutical laboratories, agri-food companies, car dealerships, textile companies, general merchandise wholesalers, agricultural and wine producers…

The firm is a member of the Association des Représentants en Propriété Industrielle à Madagascar (A.R.P.I. Madagascar) since 2015 and Lova RAZAKANTOANINA holds the Treasurer position of the association since 2018.
